Deux des trois applications not\u00e9es ont re\u00e7u le <a href=\"https:\/\/altair.com\/enlighten-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">prix Altair Enlighten<\/a> dans la cat\u00e9gorie des <em>r\u00e9alisations en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9duction du poids des v\u00e9hicules <\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">La derni\u00e8re application pour la conception du dossier de si\u00e8ge en composite sur la Toyota Tundra\u2122 2022 a \u00e9t\u00e9 partag\u00e9e sur l'<a href=\"https:\/\/www.compositesworld.com\/articles\/seatback-frame-demonstrates-next-generation-autocomposites-design\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00e9dition de mars 2023 de CompositesWorld<\/a>. L'article expliquait l'ensemble du processus, du brainstorming initial au lancement du v\u00e9hicule de l'ann\u00e9e mod\u00e8le 2022, et comment le cadre du si\u00e8ge de la deuxi\u00e8me rang\u00e9e \u00e9tait un domaine cl\u00e9 sur lequel se concentrer pour r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies de poids.<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">Plusieurs objectifs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fix\u00e9s au d\u00e9but du projet et ont donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 de nombreux d\u00e9fis tout au long du processus de conception et de construction. Ces objectifs \u00e9taient les suivants : rentabilit\u00e9, efficacit\u00e9 de la fabrication, l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 et flexibilit\u00e9 de la conception afin d'augmenter l'espace de rangement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">Avec ces objectifs en t\u00eate, Toyota a collabor\u00e9 avec plusieurs fournisseurs pour r\u00e9aliser ce projet. Les principaux composants composites ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9s par le mouleur par injection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flex-n-gate.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Flex-N-Gate<\/a>. Le mat\u00e9riau composite a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en collaboration avec <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basf.com\/us\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BASF<\/a>. Et le syst\u00e8me pultrud\u00e9 utilisant Continuous Composite Systems\u2122 (CCS\u2122) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par L&amp;L Products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">D\u00e8s le d\u00e9but du processus de conception, les ing\u00e9nieurs travaillant sur le projet ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que la largeur suppl\u00e9mentaire du dossier de si\u00e8ge du Tundra poserait un nouveau d\u00e9fi pour r\u00e9pondre aux exigences strictes de Toyota en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Comme l'indique l'article, \"pour obtenir la rigidit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire, il faudrait soit que l'armature du si\u00e8ge soit tr\u00e8s \u00e9paisse - ce qui augmenterait le co\u00fbt des mat\u00e9riaux et le poids - soit qu'un certain type de poutre de renfort soit ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 la zone supportant les charges les plus lourdes\". Une poutre \u00e9tait la solution la plus logique, mais il faudrait g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utiliser un mat\u00e9riau m\u00e9tallique, ce qui ajouterait du poids.<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">L&amp;L Products a \u00e9t\u00e9 contact\u00e9 \u00e0 ce stade du processus pour \u00e9tudier si les Continuous Composite Systems\u2122 (CCS\u2122) pouvaient constituer une solution. Bien que le CCS\u2122 ait eu de nombreuses applications auparavant, il n'avait jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 pour un type quelconque d'application automobile int\u00e9rieure. La mod\u00e9lisation et la simulation ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le imp\u00e9ratif dans le processus de conception pour s'assurer que tous les objectifs seraient atteints en mettant en \u0153uvre le CCS\u2122 dans le cadre du dossier de si\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">Hank Richardson, responsable de l'ing\u00e9nierie des produits chez L&amp;L Products, explique ce qui rend la poutre pultrud\u00e9e r\u00e9sistante aux chocs : \"Une combinaison de la chimie des r\u00e9sines adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 une tr\u00e8s grande rigidit\u00e9, des \u00e9l\u00e9ments en verre continu pour une r\u00e9sistance maximale \u00e0 la flexion et une g\u00e9om\u00e9trie optimis\u00e9e de la pi\u00e8ce.\"<\/p>\n<p class=\"in-view\">De nombreux d\u00e9fis ont \u00e9t\u00e9 relev\u00e9s tout au long du processus - qu'il s'agisse de l'application elle-m\u00eame ou des \u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00e9conomiques et mondiaux - mais avec la bonne \u00e9quipe en place, l'application s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00eatre un succ\u00e8s r\u00e9compens\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises.
