Purchasing Director of China

***This position is located in our China Location***

Duties / Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Coordinates and leads the purchasing activities in order to achieve the company’s target within the validated budget.
  • Provide leadership and direction to his/her team to drive the development of appropriate supply chain panel to support the business strategy and diversification efforts.
  • Responsible for new business ventures and commercial opportunities as well as contributing to the delivery of business objectives and financial targets.
  • Leads the purchasing team in line with the values and vision of L&L products.
  • Defines the purchasing short, mid and long-term strategy in line with the company’s vision and China’s strategic objectives.
  • Identify the appropriate purchasing conditions to be established.
  • Understand our customer needs in order to establish the most appropriate supplier strategy to satisfy the customers and meet L&L targets.
  • Responsible for ensuring the global purchasing process is efficient and continuously improving.
  • Responsible for defining and managing a cost savings plan on all categories of buys.
  • Develops the supplier panel in accordance to the business and strategic needs of the China region.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Mechanical / Chemical or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing function with more than 6 years of experience as a purchasing manager; CPM certificate is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial processes, Injection and Tooling processes as well as supplier network, preferably with automotive background.
  • Familiar with ERP, preferably Oracle.
  • Knowledge of commercial and contract law.
  • Ability to maintain an ISO 9000 and TS16949 quality environment.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese.
