Our Composite Panel Stiffeners comprise an expanding structural adhesive contained within a woven glass fabric reinforcement and are installed in the body shop prior to the Ecoat process. Composite Panel Stiffeners offer excellent substrate adhesion and pliability, which enables robust adhesion for contoured geometries.

PROCESS

L&L Reinforce Composite Panel Stiffeners optimize not only performance but process by:

  • Limited substrate surface preparation needed, including on oily surfaces
  • Wash-off resistant
  • Pressure-sensitive adhesion to enable placement prior to curing
  • Integrates into the existing E-coat process without additional equipment 

Product Attributes

  • Superior green state adhesion to various metal substrates and durable bond once cured
  • Ability to apply to complex contours or large, flat areas, and can include vertical or inverted surfaces
  • Magnetic products are available for inverted applications
  • Patches can be either pliable for stiff before curing
  • Provides panel durability in high fatigue standings
